Acting as lead consultants for the Lloyd Baker Estate, Fereday Pollard were appointed to remodel and extend this historic early nineteenth century listed house, forming one of the main frontages of the Estate. Having delivered a series of similar aged and protected buildings in recent years, we were ideally placed to not only redesign the layout but could also apply our refurbishment and restoration skills to the existing building fabric. The full restoration process involved the resolution of facing stucco issues, internal wood rot and dealing with Lime based mortars and linseed paints.

In addition to the restoration of the existing house and remodelling and rationalisation of the existing accommodation we carefully designed two new matching wings to the rear of the house. With a contemporary feel and successful buy in of both English Heriatge and the Estate, the new extensions increased internal accommodation and recreated a sense of garden courtyard and more open grassed space to the back. Together with the on site team of skilled craftsmen and a final coat of external decorations, the house was complete and ready to take its place as one of the foremost houses on the Estate and provide a beautiful home to take another generation of users.
