The remodelling of a vast duplex apartment in a listed mansion block with magnificent views over London's Hyde Park
Our clients purchased this expansive 700 sqm duplex apartment block overlooking London's Hyde Park with a view to transforming its warren of rooms into a contemporary family home, whilst providing for new outdoor space from the living spaces. Located within one of London's most desirable and listed mansion blocks, the two level apartment required complete refurbishment and remodelling.
The reshaping of this apartment facilitated 7 bedrooms with luxury ensuite bathrooms and dressing rooms characterised by high quality modern storage joinery. Materials used in wet areas were correspondingly durable and high quality, using polished granite, British limestones and blue slate integrated with polished stainless steel and glass.
Integration of fittings and construction elements fittings were developed with close attention to architectural detailing. Formal reception and family living areas have been animated with infra-red programmable lighting and AV systems integrated within joinery and other bespoke finishing elements.
Informal entertaining and family outdoor space was created within the valley of an existing London 'butterfly' roof, characterised by sustainable hardwood and recessed lighting.
